World population is increasing tremendously and is estimated to reach the number of 7 billion on 31 October 2011. For this occasion,
the Khmer Youth for Social Development (KYSD) in collaboration with The United Nation Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Cambodian Center for
Independent Media(CCIM) has conducted some campaigns under this year topic, “
The World of 7 Billion: Young People Forging the Future –Realizing
their sexual and reproductive health and rights”.

One of these campaigns includes Street Campaign which was conducted by KYSD team, launching on 11 July 2011 in several spots in downtown Phnom Penh.
This campaign is intended to raise awareness of youth towards sexual and reproductive health although not mandatory general people are also targeted.
The messages were decoded by the slogans exposed on the T-shirts and caps of the 7-billion models. Leaflets are also distributed in some target places
such as traffic light, market, and some other populated areas. The action was started since the early morning. The team gathered at KYSD at 7am before
travelling to the targeted areas. The exposure was formed on the vehicles as well as at the traffic light area. The team also distributed the leaflets
to commuters who passed by the exposure area. From 11:30 to 12:30, the campaign was done at KYSD, disseminating the massages via the net. The team
posted the slogans on the web, facebook as an instance, and more effectively, the team has also sent the messages via SMS. At 3pm, the team gathered
again to spot to other areas so as to extensively widespread the messages. The exposures was done at tourist sites, business center, and other
populated places including Wat Phnom, Central Market, Royal Palace Park, Independence Monument, Koh Pich, a slum area known as Buildings, public parks,
and finally Olympic Stadium.

All in all, the messages, “
The World of 7 Billion: Young People Forging the Future –Realizing their sexual and
reproductive health and rights” has been sent to many people through various places in Phnom Penh and via distinctively effective means.
In total: 64615 persons (Sms: 1183 persons, Facebook 63232 persons, The People living in city had educated through Poster distribution: 200 persons).
